COLD CHAIN TRANSPORT
A cold chain is a supply chain that is temperature-controlled. An unbroken cold chain is a continuous set of refrigerated production, storage, and distribution activities, as well as supporting equipment and logistics, that keep a desired low-temperature range. It is used to preserve and extend the shelf life of products such as fresh agricultural products, seafood, frozen food, photographic film, chemicals, and pharmaceutical pharmaceuticals. Such things are sometimes referred to as cool cargo while being transported and in transit.
